Taking Him Seriously
If we want God to take our salvation seriously, we must take His Son absolutely seriously. Belief in Jesus is not acknowledged by God unless there is obedience to Jesus. That is why they say, you are saved by faith
. In other words, just as a bride is faithful to her husband, we will be saved only if we are faithful. And countless times, the New Testament drives home the urgent fact that whoever says,
. Since Jesus said He will tell the disobedient, I know Him,
and doesn't keep His commandments, is a liardepart from Me, I never knew you,
people who want to apply the blood of the Lamb must examine their ways and be conformed to Jesus: God's Way.
